A Book Is Like A Garden Carried In The Pocket

I had the hardest time finding cute custom bookplates to mail to readers, so I decided to make my own. I asked an Etsy stamp maker to help me design a rubber stamp with one of my favorite sayings (which is said to be an old Chinese proverb). I bought thick card stock from a paper store, stamped the paper and attached an adhesive to the back. Voila: instant bookplates.

Bonus: I’ve used the stamp for thank-you cards and to inscribe friends’ books. Isn’t it great?

As an avid gardener AND lover of books, I appreciate that quote. :)

This is 100 percent genius! I’m kicking myself for spending an arm and half of a leg on the box of book plates I have. xoxo
